Why We Exist

We fulfill our mission by helping people know God, find freedom, discover purpose, and make a difference.

At Union Church, we hope to see you dive into what it means to follow Jesus, get connected to others, discover your purpose and make a difference with your life. We believe that church should be a place where everyone is able to connect with God on a personal and intimate level.

We exist for one thing: to help unite people with purpose. At Union Church, we believe that heaven can be experienced on earth when people live intentional and purposeful lives, submitted to God’s word.

Know God

We consider reaching people who do not know God personally to be one of our greatest responsibilities. Our weekend worship experiences are for people at all stages in their spiritual journey but are primarily designed for those who do not yet have a genuine relationship with God

Find Freedom

We believe life change happens in the context of relationships. Groups have one simple purpose: to bring people together. God created us to live in community with others, and only then can we experience the full life He intends for us.

Discover Your Purpose

Growth Track exists to help you discover and develop your purpose and live the full life God created for you. The Growth Track comprises four steps, which guide you through the next steps in your journey to know God, find freedom, discover purpose, and make a difference.

Make A Difference

God created all of us to make a difference in the world around us. God has a place for you where your unique abilities and passions can impact the lives of others. We believe your life will never make sense until you find, develop, and fulfill your purpose.

Our Story

Our vision has always been to impact lives by making church as accessible as possible to as many people as possible.

Our story goes as far back as 2011 when Pastor Stephen Chandler launched Destiny Harvest Church in Woodlawn, Maryland. Our vision has always been to impact lives by making church as accessible as possible to as many people as possible.

2020 saw us add our first campus traction with the launch of our Baltimore County (UBC) location. In 2021, Destiny would become Union Church and expand its reach with the addition of the BWI location. In 2022, Union launched its fourth campus in Bowie, Maryland (Flowers). In 2023, Union launched their first two locations out of Maryland in Charlotte, North Carolina, and Falls Church, Virginia.

At Union, we exist for one thing – to unite people to purpose by helping them know God, find freedom, discover purpose, and make a difference. We are amazed by what God is doing but aren’t stopping here; what happens next will be beyond what we can imagine.

Our Pastors

Pastors Stephen and Zai Chandler are the bold, encouraging, life-giving senior pastors of Union Church.

They share this same passion: to see people discover their God-given destiny and united to their purpose. They have given their lives to helping others find fulfillment.

Between the two of them, they have over 20 years of ministry experience. Before Union Church, Pastor Stephen and Zai pastored Destiny Church for over 10 years. Currently, they reside in Bowie, MD, with their three children Zoe, Roman and Jade.
