A boundless move of God
Our story goes as far back as 2011 when Pastor Stephen Chandler launched Destiny Harvest Church in Woodlawn, Maryland. Our vision has always been to impact lives by making church as accessible as possible to as many people as possible.
2020 saw us add our first campus traction with the launch of our Baltimore County (UBC) location. In 2021, Destiny would become Union Church and expand its reach with the addition of the BWI location. In 2022, Union launched its fourth campus in Bowie, Maryland (Flowers). In 2023, Union launched their first two locations out of Maryland in Charlotte, North Carolina, and Falls Church, Virginia.
At Union, we exist for one thing – to unite people to purpose by helping them know God, find freedom, discover purpose, and make a difference. We are amazed by what God is doing but aren’t stopping here; what happens next will be beyond what we can imagine.
Our Pastors
Stephen & Zai Chandler
Pastors Stephen and Zai Chandler are the bold, encouraging, life-giving senior pastors of Union Church. They share this same passion: to see people discover their God-given destiny and united to their purpose. They have given their lives to helping others find fulfillment.
Between the two of them, they have over 20 years of ministry experience. Before Union Church, Pastor Stephen and Zai pastored Destiny Church for over 10 years. Currently, they reside in Bowie, MD, with their three children Zoe, Roman and Jade.

Our new headquarters will be a state-of-the-art facility with a 2,400-seat auditorium that will allow us to expand the Kingdom of God and the vision of our church.
Top-of-the-line broadcast and video equipment that will allow us to spread the gospel worldwide.
Spaces for our growing Union College where men and women from over the nation will be equipped to lead.
State of the art track and field complex for Union Athletics.
Larger Union Kids spaces to provide a memorable and safe experience.
Campus Expansion
Our heart is to build a Union Church location within driving distance of every home in the DMV, North Carolina, and beyond. In addition, all current campuses will undergo renovations that bring uniformity and upgrades to the overall weekend experience.

Mint Hill Campus
Launching Sunday, March 9 2025
We are excited to announce we are expanding our reach in the “Queen City” with the launch of our second Charlotte campus, Mint Hill, on Sunday, March 9, 2025. What God has done in Charlotte over the past two years can only be defined as mind-blowing.
We are excited to join the Mint Hill community and bring a life-giving church to the South Charlotte area.
